Description
Product Overview
The LF810 is a narrow-format single hinge straight running flat top chain — narrower in link plate width than the LF820 at equivalent chain width designations, with a maximum operating speed of 50 m/min dry-run and 80 m/min lubricated, maximum conveyor run of 8 m, and working load that is proportionally lower than the LF820 family. The LF810’s narrower link plate body reduces the chain’s conveying surface width-to-pitch ratio, creating a chain that is more suited to compact, space-constrained machine installations than to high-throughput production conveyor systems. EverPower plastic chain Australia Pty Ltd supplies the LF810 as a direct replacement for System Plast 810 across all standard width designations.
The LF810 operates with POM-C plate material, SUS304 stainless steel pins, and standard 10 ft packing. Its operating characteristics — particularly the 8 m maximum run, 50 m/min maximum dry speed, and narrow link plate profile — make it a specialised product for applications where these constraints are acceptable trade-offs for the compact chain geometry. The LF810TAB sideflexing variant (covered in P41) uses the same 810 body with tab links for curved sections.

Where LF810 Is Specified
The LF810 series’ primary application context is compact in-machine conveyor sections — chain runs within the structural envelope of processing or packaging machinery where the available space for chain width and chain return geometry is limited by the machine frame. In high-density packaging machinery with multiple conveyor passes within a single machine cabinet, the LF810 series’ narrower link plate reduces the chain footprint at the guide rail interface, allowing tighter beam-to-beam spacing between adjacent chain passes within the machine housing.
Instant noodle manufacturing — which is also the primary stated application for the LF810TAB sideflexing variant — uses LF810 on the straight transport sections within the noodle forming and cutting machine. The chain must fit within the machine housing alongside the cutting mechanism, folding guides, and product forming plates, all of which impose strict dimensional constraints on the conveyor section. The LF810 series’ narrower link plate allows these constraints to be met where the LF820’s wider body would foul the adjacent mechanism components.
Small-format pharmaceutical inspection machines also use the LF810 — particularly in multi-channel inspection arrangements where 4–6 tablet or vial lanes run parallel on closely spaced chains within a single inspection cabinet. The reduced interchain spacing enabled by the LF810 series’ narrow body allows more inspection lanes within a given machine width without requiring a custom machine housing.

Maximum Run of 8 m: System Implications
The 8 m maximum conveyor run is more restrictive than any other standard flat top chain in the EverPower range and is the most important constraint to communicate to system designers when LF810 is specified. At 8 m with the LF810 series’ narrower link body (which has a lower tensile cross-section than the LF820 at the same K-width designation), the chain tension at rated load approaches the design limit. Beyond 8 m, exceeding this limit causes accelerated hinge pin wear and, at extended lengths, link plate cracking at the hinge bore — a failure mode that presents as random chain breaks rather than the gradual elongation pattern of an overloaded but intact chain.
Systems requiring more than 8 m of LF810 conveying must use tandem chain sections with a dead-plate transfer between sections. Each section is driven independently and must be within 8 m end-to-end. For the majority of in-machine conveyor applications where LF810 is specified, the required chain length is well within 8 m — the constraint is typically not a practical issue. But for any project where the chain run approaches 6–7 m, the designer should explicitly calculate chain tension at rated load before committing to LF810, rather than discovering the limit during commissioning.

What Our Customers Say
“LF810 inside our instant noodle forming machine — three parallel chain passes within a 350 mm machine housing width. LF810 series’ narrow body was the only standard chain that fit all three passes without fouling the folding guide mechanisms. Running at 45 m/min for 14 months without chain adjustment or replacement.”
— Machine Engineering Team, Noodle Production, Sydney NSW
“LF810 on a 5-lane pharmaceutical tablet inspection conveyor inside a 600 mm cabinet. We needed 5 K118 chain passes within that width — LF810 series’ narrow body allowed 5 mm clearance between adjacent chains. LF820 at K118 would have required a wider cabinet. Compact installation, clean operation at 40 m/min.”
— Machine Builder, Pharmaceutical Inspection Equipment, Melbourne VIC
“Replacing System Plast 810 on an older piece of packaging machinery. EverPower LF810 fitted the existing sprockets and guide rails exactly. Given the machinery age, we were concerned about OEM spare parts availability — the dimensional compatibility of the EverPower chain with existing System Plast hardware is exactly what we needed.”
